I Am The Owner Of The Sphere!
There is no great and no small
To the soul that maketh all;
And where it cometh, all things are;
And it cometh everywhere.
I am the owner of the sphere,
Of the seven stars and the solar year,
Of Caesar's hand, and Plato's brain,
Of Lord Christ's heart, and Shakespeare's strain.
Ralph Waldo Emerson born in 1803 has had an enormous influence on writers and thinkers around the world; his innate sense of knowing and willingness to express it, made an impact on the skeptical era and laid the foundation for metaphysics and other related modes of thought. Every time I read something that Emerson wrote, a bell of remembering vibrates through my physical system. It's like a pulse of electricity that jolts my perceptions and broadens my awareness.
The two poems above were written around 1840. They project the now age message of unity. Emerson understood the importance of self-love and the need to share it. Everything and everyone is connected in a field of consciousness that grows diverse forms of life. There is no great or small in this field, there is only expression and expansion. Each family of consciousness assists the others in the process of awareness.
I have not been taught to believe that way. In fact my beliefs are segregated and isolated, for they include categories of relevance within this space and time. I am a product of division rather than unity. Caesar, Plato, Christ and Shakespeare are icons that I read about, and then I form my own perceptions of their importance. The thought of me being part of the consciousness that contains the essence of them, is a dream of a self-righteous nut case in the minds of a separated society. A society ruled by the narrow minded views of a controlling entity.
A shift of perspective is taking root in the collective consciousness I call humanity. Other forms of consciousness have always been aware of their connection and display it harmonically. Other realities express unity within diversity and grow from the contrast that exists physically. My time is now. I am reconnecting to the stream of chi that flows around and through me. My thoughts are changing and my choices are expanding and the probabilities I experience are in sync with that stream.
I become a whole in this stream of wholeness that is the home for all consciousness. I am able to ask for and receive help from the individual entities that float in this stream with me. Everyone and everything is within the stream; each a drop of consciousness from the ocean of energy I call God.
I am the owner of the sphere of the seven stars and the solar year. I am a spirit connected to a family of spirits that move in cycles and I grow from the experience of being human. I am a name within the name of all consciousness and there is no separation unless I choose to learn that way.

Thank you Hal
I believe Emerson followed his heart,
he understood the realness and connection to all things, I have read some of his essays on nature and found them to be enlightening and true..
He would not follow the ways of narrow minded controlling entity's, he saw and felt the essence of oneness..
This piece of poetry is beautiful and indeed a drop in the stream of consciousness…
We see that we are surrounded by truth, light and divine guidance always…
Wonderful…

Yes, Emerson was quite the thinker. He was aware and connected to life and was very vocal about it. The more I read his work the more I understand this focus called enlightenment.
Thanks for your thoughts Ange.
